Default Should I remove my MAF ends?

My MAF ends have been on the car for about 400 miles. I can't tell a difference, but now I'm hearding that they could create tranny problems. So, should I remove them?

Year of car? Assuming A4 trans. How the
trans. shifting now? Year to year and
car to car it's pretty hard to guess
reaction to PORTED MAF or ENDS IMHO

It is a 2002 A4. The trans is shifting perfect right now, but I only have about 1500 miles on the car. I will probably take them off and sell them. Will a LS6 MAF cause the same problems?

If you're going to pull the ends, you
probably will be better off with a
PACE MAF.It seems the ported ends
don't really cause possible prob.
till you add lid, filter and either FRA
or FTRA.May be just ramming more air
than MAF can meter now?

Okay. I don't want my tranny to start unlocking, so should I remove them? What if I replaced the front one with the stock piece and left the back piece ported? That would fix any possible KR and tranny problems since all the extra airflow would be after the sensor, wouldn't it?

The MAF ends and homemade ported ones
aren't being blamed for locking or
unlocking problems.There seems to be
the question of low line pressure
at partial throttle shifts? To me
again this is more a car by car
situation.I run HPP with stall and
ported MAF and TB.I have no problems
and moniter my car almost daily. <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">
