Quick MAFT question

Quick MAFT question This almost a silly question, but since I don't have the directions for my MAFT I have to ask. Turning the dials which way leans/richens the mixture? Is a 1 adding fuel or an F?

Doh! You know I'm going to feel really stupid when I take the cover off again and actually look at the underside <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> Thanks!
