Default Quick MAFT question

This almost a silly question, but since I don't have the directions for my MAFT I have to ask. Turning the dials which way leans/richens the mixture? Is a 1 adding fuel or an F?

I will be out of town until Friday, if you can wait until then I've got the MAFT instructions, e-mail me with your fax number and I'll send it to you.
