OK I read a little while ago that some guys hogged out the pulse damper in the fual rail. Now my question is did you gut the damper and fual rail or just the damper??

How far off were your O2s? I cut out the center ring of the aluminum piece of the damper with no results. My B2 ltrims are still 2-7% rich (just like before). Can you explain "gutting the rail?" What condition were you trying to remedy when you gut the damper? Did you ever find a solution? Thanks!

My fuel system was VERY borderline so I would be running like .810mv on the right bank and .890 on the left. FP measured from the left bank would drop to 40 PSI at WOT despite running both a 340 LPH intank pump and an inline 255 LPH pump. I wanted about .850mv on both. So, I gutted the part of the rail where the dampner resides and the dampner itself. My O2s went to being like .100-.300mv on the right bank. That bank was pretty much completely starved for fuel. I installed a new dampner (the fuel rail still being gutted) and the O2s went back to around .830 on the right bank with .880 or so on the left. Still not the same but closer than to begin with. The FP was showing about 45 PSI at WOT with this setup.
Then I installed a Kenny Belle Boost-A-Pump set at %30 and now my O2s are fairly close. Right bank around .840 and left around .860. The FP is now showing about 52 PSI at WOT.
The next step is to install billet fuel rails, a rail mounted adj. fuel pressure regulator, and big braided fuel lines front to back (I will be using a true return line with the new regulator.) All of this was bought at Speed Inc. This setup should allow me to still have plenty of fuel when I take this engine to the next level. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" />
