Default question to you tech nuts

Okay here is the deal, and Im sure this is on here alot but thats okay. I am in the market for a cam but would like to have it somewhat matched to my set up. I will list exactly what I have, and what I want out of it. YOu guys let me know which i Should buy and why, and if your a sponsor i might just buy from you because thats how i roll.

allright. 2002 WS6 M6 tranny, hooker comp headers, no cats, hooker Y pipe, O2 simms, K&N FIPK, PP TB , stock heads will be PP when cam is done, those are all my motor related mods, and now i want a cam. I am open to suggestions. If I go with something providing more low end power what can i expect to see? I have the stock rear end, and Im not really looking to launch hard, and go stop sign to stop sign. I also dont want to only have power above 4800 either. . . it is a DD but I want it to sound pretty good. what kind of gains have been experienced with similar set ups. let me know. alll input appreciated.

I'm pretty happy with my 230/236 cam from Thunder Racing. Its peak torque is around 4900 and peak HP is aroung 6600. It's still got some pretty good grunt down around 2200, but nothing like the baby cams do.

It sounds to me like you'd want a smaller cam than mine, though. I'd be looking into the 228/228 cams or possibly the 230/224 cam from Thunder Racing.

You can run a larger cam with a low LSA and advance it and mill the heads down some this will help to keep dynamic compression up which will let you keep that low end power for daily driving. If you go big cam without raising compression somehow you are going to lose the bottom end power. I dont like giving cam advice because evryone has specific personal preference of what they may like, some want loud and choppy, some want mild sound with lots of power... ect, the list goes on.
