Re: loud muffler I wouldn't consider the Dynomax loud, those tend to work well and be less loud than most mufflers. Loudness will also depend on the size of the muffler and if you have catalytics still on the car.

Get the Dynomax Ultra Flow welded #17227.
You see straight through it, sounds awesome with no resonnance. At a recent F-body night, we we're all standing around revving our motors. A friend of mine told my wife that my stock system with the Dyno muff sounded better than his Corsa and it would've saved him $600. Of course the Corsa tips kick ***.
