Default Removing EGR/AIR????

I need to know what all I need to remove, what parts are needed, any SES codes set, how many hp increased, and any other general info I need to know about this... Anyone have any info for me??

Parts need: 3 block off plates, easily made from a piece of aluminium or about $20 from Pace parts (see sponsor list). Note I deleted the EGR when I added the LS6 intake; otherwise you have to seal that.

Codes: Either delete them with LS1Edit or SES lights will be on.

HP gains: didn't dyno, but I'd say pretty minimal. AIR system doesn't operate at WOT (not sure that the EGR operates at WOT either). takes a few pounds off the nose of the car.

Isn't there an EGR pump or something that bolts onto the front of the motor that might require a shorter belt when removed?? I just did a rebuild on an older model(89) Chevy Truck and I know it had an AIR pump on it... is there one on an LS1??

The EGR on these cars are electric and are not run using a belt.
