Default Common causes of cruise control failure

My cruise control has decided to die one me. It has been an intermittent problem for a couple of weeks but now it seems dead. I have checked the fuse under the hood and made sure that both ends of the cable are attached. Does anybody have any suggestions as to something else I can check? This happened to me when I first got the car and I took it back to the dealership who said that the cable had come loose. But I'm out of warranty now so I'm hoping that the CC module has not died

TIA
Mark

Check the kill switches on the clutch and brake pedals.

"#1 cause of cc failure on GM cars is a dead servo" (that's what a dealer tech told me once)
