Default Bwahaha!! Picked up the car from ARE!!

Well I went in today and picked up the car
Changes include 5.3L heads (11:1 comp)
226/234 554/575 lift cam on 112LSA
ASP crank and Alt UD pullies
3 inch Y-pipe for my MAC headers
dynomax Ultra flow replacing my race magnum bullet (REALLY Quieted the car down)
and 3 inch cutout.

Things I still need to address:
Lockup switch (Lockup switch on the tranny isnt working right now)
Fuel pump is noisy. I think it is on its last legs

I am AMAZED at how well the car idled on stock tuning with this cam. I was expecting a monster shaky idle but it just wasnt there. It is only slightly worse than the idle of my B1. (I have a small amount of T-body drilling but I am going to open it up a little more.

Driving impressions:
I am amazed with the torque and HP difference. I think the extra 1.2 points of compression really helped out the bottom and midrange while the 226/234 cam really helped out the top end. (I was previously running 9.8:1 comp and the B1 where I was SC'ed)
The car feels really really good.
I definitely need tuning, (running really rich at WOT and my timing is a little low) but it feels a LOT better than before.

I am VERY happy with driveability and power.

I am going to get on the dyno for some LS1edit tuning etc when Nick gets delivery of the software and tune things up a bit.
Now I need to get Harlans shiftlight and I am all set

Thanks again for the GREAT work ARE!!
I cant wait to get to the track in April!!
Cheers,
Chris

Chris its odd,My Cartek 224 cam is docile too.

I think I am going to try and get everything checked out with ATAP and get a few miles in before I do that. I need to put a FP gauge on the car to see if my pump is dropping pressure. (It is louder than it used to be)
I need to get a scanmaster, using my laptop all the time is a PITA.
Cheers,
Chris

Hey Chris, sounds like the car is gonna fly!

I think you will run low 11's no problem! Maybe better, you are always tweakin' stuff.

I always watch the fluids for the first week or two... Making sure there are no air bubbles in the cooling system.

Thanks PSJ
I am going into this with no expectations dyno/track wise. That way I will be pleasantly surprised
I just want to run a little quicker than my previous package did
Cheers,
Chris
