What to clean intake valley with?

What to clean intake valley with? I'm in the middle of the LS6 intake swap onto my '00 C5 where I find all kinds of dirt, leave remnants, lady bug carcasses, etc in my intake valley area. What should I clean it with, WD-40? Thanks.

that stuff will leave a oil film and will acumilate more crud in the long run.
try some simple brake parts cleaner
be sure to tape off or seal those intale ports before hand so you dont get crud in them.
