Longest lasting plugs...

Longest lasting plugs... I am a Camaro owner on a budget...and I want to put the longest lasting spark plugs in my baby. What brands would you recommend? Doesnt' have to be the best performing, since I can't afford to change them every year (cuz I can't do it myself

Re: Longest lasting plugs... I've had my NGK TR55's in for two years now. Still idles smooth and no high speed misses. You might consider these. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" />

I'm writing this stuff down right now...and appreciate it. My car has about 28,400 miles and it still runs very smooth. But nice to know there are options for us poor folks <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> Gracias!

Re: Longest lasting plugs... i hate saying this word but "platinum's" are suppose to be what you are looking for.
my guess is stay with the stock plugs and be happy bud. platinums are not cheap.
also keep in mind that plugs are a standard wearable item like brake pads ect.... expect to replace them om ocasion.

Re: Longest lasting plugs... You may also want to look at the NGK TR%%-IX Iridium plugs. I have never tried them, but I hear they are similar wear to platinums. I am using AC Delco Rapidfire #12. They should last longer then the copper NGK's. Rapidfires have a platinum tip cor extended wear, yet they do not have the double platinum nub that falls off of the electrode on the stock plugs.
