Default Lifter Tray Replacement???

Erik is doing a 408 for me, and my old motor has 85,000 miles. My lifter trays seem very good , however for like $20 I can replace them, should I??? Is there any must have part #, LS2 doesn't interest me.

I'd replace them. Mine were warped after 55k miles so I got new ones from the dealer for around $20.

They will also hold the lifters up better if you need to do something later with the cam. I put the stock ones back in (non-LS2) and the tightness to the lifters was much better than the ones I removed.

yeah, its one of those things that are too cheap not to replace. the labor to get back there will be far more expensive.
