I was wondering if you could change from a regular LS1 head to maybe a 6.0L head and do some work to the heads to get them to drop the compression when installed on a stock shortblock.

And if it is possible, how much compression could be dropped???

 

A piston change could drop you a good margin as well.

 

Thicker head gasket..
