dyno-tune is a way to measure your power (they put you on rollers), Tuners use that with software such as (hptuners, efi live, or ls1dit) to optimize you timing, RAF, STFT,LTFT tables. They do EVERYTHING....codes too...
Tuners, tune the car such that you get the most power driving N/A(nitrous disabled), and then they tune for a nitorus shot, so that it's SAFE, and your engine doens't blow up. It's absolutely critical with cam and nitrous that you do it RIGHT. Dyno_tune is approx. $500
Get SVO 42# injectors (green-top)

ahh im slowly seeing haha thanks alot. Im still kinda lost on the dyno tune and pcm4less tho i dont wanna bother you tho with it. I need to read it a few times till i get it, i am thinking about going to new era performance for a dyno run tho. SHould i have them do the tune for me? PCM wants like 265 for a tune, a dyno run is like 150 an hour would i be smarter to get a dyno tune
A dyno tune will be the most accurate...a mail order tuns such as PCMFORLESS is a round about tune...the tuner will go off of past experiences with similar mods to urs, but every car is different so its not guaranteed u will get ur best performance out of it with out the tuner actually having the car there in person to mess with.......FWIW i went with a mail order tune from TSP and my car runs great!! i didnt have the cash for a dyno tune so i got this and it works well for me...i know im leaving power on the table but im not to worried about getting everything right now as im not done with the setup.
who would you guys recomend for a tune if i did a mail in order? Im going through alot right now tryin to get some hp i got a buddie with a 99 mustang gt with a vortech v1 superchager and cat back thats it and i wanna be able to beat him, seein how they have like 230 hp stock and we have around 300, soo thats my goal haha.
Im a TSP ***** cause i live about 5mins away plus they are really cool guys and i know Jason knows his stuff so i say TSP.....but ive heard many good things from PCMFORLESS basically i would say what ever fits ur wallet best and offers better services like retunes or what not.
am i the only one that thinks getting 42lb injectors with his mods is a little overkill? even with a dry 100 shot the stock injectors are going to be fine. i would look into getting a new fuel pump before i did injectors.
im new to this all i do is ask questions and hopefully i get answers. So if i seem to ask the same question its just because im tryin to understand. I was gonna try to send my injectors to New era performace for there clean job and see how that all turns out. Im just loookin for some more power before i go into majors like heads and cam.
I got mine from TSP during the chirstmas special for 100 bucks and i think its free retunes for a year....i think its like 225 with out the specail...the down fall as compared to PCMFORLESS is that pcmforless will let u borrow a pcm so u dont have down time and i dont think TSP does that......

With 100 NOS, I'd be close to 75%, which is perfect...
I mean, you're right...it's still a little bit of overkill, but it's better to be under, than over.
