Default BIG cubes, stock bolck linerred

Anyone tried a BIG cube 454" engine yet? Lunati 4.25" crank, 4.125" bore = 454"?? Can you put liners in stock alloy block for 4.125" bore or have to use C5R block??

There are several companies that put 4.125" sleeves in the aluminum block.(MMS, ARE, MTI, maybe more) Just recently MTI started going out to 4.15" with some new sleeves they're using.

That would be like a 460 with the 4.25" crank. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

I think you might start seeing more BIG engines when somebody comes out with an intake manifold to feed them. The Holley intake may be the ticket when its ported out.

I think people are not building the bigger engines because they're under square. A lot of people, including me believe that its important to have more bore than stroke.
