Max press hot and reving.
At start-up the press goes up instantaneously, that can only save the engine...

i use the blue spring in all the pumps i put on.

Rule of thumb is 10psi for every 1000 rpms. For you app atleast 75 psi

I would want more than 10psi for 1000... Just MO. I like around 40+ at idle and mine already pegs at 80 with stock pump but im getting the melling.. Well did peg at 80 before the spun bearing.. Due to building issues not the pump..

yeah which spring is the high and low

How many psi at idle does the high put out.. Is there a disadvantage to having too much oil pressure?

blue=low (40psi+ at idle hot)

IS THE M295 pump better then ported ones- also does the m295 come with 2 spring rates or is that the m296 version only-

so for a cam only with maby a 125 shot on a 346ci should i go with melling, stock ls6 or a ported ls6

i have the 10296 melling oil pump from speedinc http://www.ls1speed.com/cont.cfm?cid=C0000699

and I love it I have a hotcam and the supporting mods in my sig.
I love the instant oil pressure at start up, and at wide open throttle I am confident that the extra Volume and Pressure of oil is there. Speedinc also has free shipping for this product cause it is over 100 bux. But its my .02cents!
Whatever you do might as well upgrade since you are going in there anyways!
