h/c setup ?
Just received Patriot Ported Ls6 heads, milled to .020 ~60 cc. I have a thunder racing 224/ .563 on a 112 lsa cam in the car right now, with 7.4 hardend pushrods. What head gasket should I run, and will those pushrods work?
Thanks,
Christian

I don't know, but if you have the lobe base circle diameter for that cam and do the math by comparing oem lobe base circle diameter, you can figure out how much longer you will need.
New rod length= ((1.553-new cam base circle)/2-(.0052-new head gasket thickness) - (head mill) + 7.39(close to stock rod length)
I would probably go with a .040 head gasket too, thats the most common size.

I got PP ls6 59cc w/ .040 head gasket and about 11.3 or 2 to 1 on compression did the math once then dont remember now but, was close to 11.5-1 . if ur cam is in and u dont get the sewing machine sound then yes, .040 gasket should be good. I would check it anyway. I am currently running PP heads ls6 231/237 .589/.595 112lsa with 7.425 p-rods so I dont hear the sewing machine . u should be good but, depending on cam size u might want to check pvc. if thats good then all else should work. just rotate by hand before u turn it with key. if u hear that sewing machine and want to quit it down then I recommend 7.425 pushrods.
