Flow question on heads????

Flow question on heads???? I have been doing some research on different heads because I am buying some soon and want to get the right combo for my cam. My question is: what is mean by this " Tests conducted at 28" of water pressure w/ cnc profiled chambers". Water pressure? I would of thought they were measuring the amount of air flow? Or is there a way of testing air flow through water volume?

28 inches of water is just the test pressure, not the cfm. 28 inches is kind of the industry standard. You'll see some 25 inch figures every now and then in the magazines, and some race teams like to flow their heads in the 50 inch neoghborhood.
the 28" of water is a way of correcting for conditions in the air that its flowing I think. everyone (that Ive ever seen anyways) test at 28" of water so that way the results are somewhat comparable. somewhat. just make sure all your flow charts that your comparing are done at 28".
I got to watch my heads get flow tested last time, and its really a pretty simple procedure. all the work is in setting up the fixtures on the machine.
