dyno tune your car at your house
i would get it to where you think a good a/f ratio is and then rent a dyno for an hour to fine tune everything, but get all the basic stuff done first. thats my plan coming in march
Street tune all the way, it dont get any more real than that. Plus i usually dont drive the car too much so it gives me an excuse to get out and hit the road with it for hours.

IMO the tune MUST be done on the street for drivability.... Tuning power, its better to have a wideband gauge and something a little more accurate that a butt-dyno. A G-Tech or a test and tune night at the track will do well.

From the way this thread is started it sounds to me like he is asking if you would have someone come with a portable dyno and tune at your house. Subject your neighbors to the noise and spectacle. Or did I read that wrong?
The answer is no, I would rather go to a shop.
Unless the poster has used the word dyno incorrectly and is asking if tuning with out a dyno is a good idea. Need clarification from the poster.
A mustang dyno or any load bearing dyno can provide "real world" tuning. I think dynojet makes one now but not sure of that. Mustang is a popular one but I think there is one other and maybe a dynojet. Not real sure of that.

my car was street tuned with my cam only set up, and sooo were a couple of my buddys cars. street tune is a very good way to go if the person konws what they are doing. i wouldnt mind getting on a dyno and fine tunning the new set up tho, since its going to be mainly drag
I'd have to say no.
With stainless LT's, no cats, a holow back box, me neighbours would surley be pi**ed. The cops would probably then investigate why the car is loud, find its not running cats. Would be loads of kids around watching also. So I'd have to say no to the home dyno.
