How much N2O are you talking about here? This one would probably be better handled by the nitrous experts here, but... A "nitrous cam" won't really shine until you're talking about large amounts of nitrous (like 300hp or better). From what I've seen, there isn't really any benefit to a "nitrous cam" when you're only spraying something like 150hp into the motor. JMHO.

Yea, all I would do is like 150 wet for right now until I could get forged internals.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Looks like I'm sticking with the X-ER 226... <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

226 should be fine for what you are looking to do.

112, don't really want to rev clost to 7000 on stock bottom end...I think the 112 will be good, I wouldn't mind shifting at 6500-6600

BigBos,
I went to Nick (ARE) with basically the same requirements you had. I ended up going with S2 5.3L heads (11:1 CR) and a 226/234, .558/.575 112LSA cam. My rev limiter is set to 6800. The power comes on really strong about 3800 and keeps on going til I hit the limiter. All my mods are in my sig. I managed to pull 404.5RWHP/381.4RWTQ with MACS through cats. Since then I've changed to FLP's (running no cats) which I'm sure would give me another ~10RWHP. The only dyno run I made with nitrous was a 100 shot with an incorrect fuel jet (WAY too rich, A/F<10). Still managed to pull 480hp/500tq. I've ran the 150 shot with race gas a few times and it pulls like a raped ape. I'm not sure, but a 226/226 might have netted a few extra hp N/A. The exaggerated exhaust duration really comes into play on the spray. I'm almost certain that when I re-dyno with the correctly jetted 100 shot I will see ~500-510RWHP.

I have been looking into the X-ER cam and thats what I will go with if I decide to stay motor, but I don't know if that is for sure going to happen, I know the cam will work with spray, but probably not as well as it would work with an aggressive nitrous cam...
Can anyone list off some good choices that are pretty aggressive that won't let me down N/A, but will help out even more when I spray it??
Thanks,
Bos <img border="0" alt="[Pontiac]" title="" src="graemlins/formula.gif" />

You want that bad *** lope too, right?
Maybe you should just spray it with the hammer cam first? Do you still have that lid we drilled out for the 5177? We could easily try it out then.
