Default Pushrod guides?

First off, I'm not very mechanically inclined, so this may be a stupid question. Do I need to get pushrod guides with new pushrods? Thanks.

I'm not for sure but are you talking about the lifter trays? GM calls then pushrod guides. If so , no you don't. You have to pull the heads to put the trays in anyway. OR are you talking about guide plated? If so you don't have to have them either.

With stock rockers, we dont use pushrod guide plates. Most aftemarket cams will like 7.400 or 7.425 pushrods. Shorter if you mill heads.
