Default Timing Chain

Im looking to instal thunder racings TREX cam and compcams , head set, meaning springs titanium retainers and hardened valve seats. Would it be worth it to install a high flow oil pump and double roller timiugn chain, while im in there. I only plan on instaling ls6 intake, pacetter lts and ory, and slp loud mouth exhaust because when teh car is paid off for i want to send it off to GMR Speed. The only other ting is that ive searched and it seems that the TREX cam fits without having to fly cut the pistons, i just wanted to ask if this is true or not if im using the stock heads for now. Thanx for your comments and info guys.

I'd very very much recommend installing a ported LS6 oil pump and at least an LS2 timing chain while you're at it. And yes, the T-Rex was designed to be a max effort cam with the stock heads without touching anything, so your PtV will be close, but should'nt cause any trouble.

Yes, look into the melling high flow oil pump or the LS4 oil pump. Go with an ls2 chain. Both can be found pretty cheap.

aftermarket oil pump and timing chain...absolutely...I did slp high volume oil pump and roll master double roller chain. good luck
