I was getting the 02 LS6 cam installed in about 3 weeks. I just found out today that some people are having problems with them if they do not replace the valves and, I here that HP Gains are not worth the install.. I already have the 02LS6 Cam & 02 Springs, I guess I can Sell The Cam and posibly use these springs with whatever cam I go with. SO i have about 2 weeks to get a cam!
Here is what I want. Im using it on my 99 30thTA and it does have a 6spd..
I need a cam that will be perfect for everyday use in traffic/reliable. Something that will keep my MPG near what it is now, and keep my idle near stock.I am not changing my heads. I have every bolt on you can get plus more & LS6 Intake. Any Ideas. I dont want to sepnd too much money either. Finally, WIll I be able to use my 02LS6 springs with the cam you suggest? Im already going to loose some Money on this LS6 cam now! Thanks for the help Any info would be great!!

Comp XE-R 220/220 on a 114 l/s with .581/.,581 lift. Lobe #3720
...or a PERFECTLY DOCILE combo that is a bit easier on the valve train?
Comp XE 218/218 on a 114 with .563/.563 lift.
Lobe #3712
Wtih both cams get 4 degrees of advance ground in.
No cam worth commenting on in my opinion will use those LS6 springs you have now.... sell em' as a pcackage to someone.
Good luck.
