Need answer quick!!!! Main Cap Bolt Torque. Im assembling my engine today and I dont have an Angle Meter guage as specified in the Helms Manual.
It specifies 15ft/lbs then 80 deg on the inner bolts and 15ft/lbs and then 53 deg on the outer bolts.
Do I have to use a angle guage or is there a torque equivalent to the 80 deg and 53 deg specs.
Where would I buy/rent an angle guage?

Re: Need answer quick!!!! Main Cap Bolt Torque. You should only use a torque wrench to tighten to the initial torque. I always use a ratchet or breaker bar to turn to the specified degrees. You could use the torque wrench but only if you adjust it so you do not exceed the capacity/setting.
