MPG with big cams? (ms4/trex)

MPG with big cams? (ms4/trex) 6 speed cars, what kinda mpg are you getting, city and hwy with your big cam? I saw someone with a smaller cam only getting 10-12 city, and 16-18 hwy or something.. bad tuning? I know I've seen some 6spd LS1's get close to at 30hwy without cam, but I/H/E. stock thier sposed to be 27.. so just trying to figure out what this cam is going to do.
And yes, I know I didn't choose a good car for gas mileage, I don't care about that, just wondering.

6sp, 4.33 gears, waiting 5-10 for the car to warm up, 11-15 city and between 23-25mpg on the highway cruising at 75mph.
H/C last fall don't have a mpg yet. Good question, any more?

I don't have that big, but I got 23mpg @ 70 mph on the way to get tuned, 4 WOT pulls and then 70mph on the way back. I haven't gone though a tank for city yet, but hoping for 17mpg....I putt around though

Ah yeah, I always state the suburb I live in.. we have like 18 cities all inside san antonio, I actually moved to the stone oak area now(more north of sa).
what mpg you getting, patrick?
Damn, I had no idea these cams ate so much gas mileage.

I get about 26mpg on the highway (3.73 gears) and 13 in stop and go city-only traffic.

i average 19-21 consistantly with a 233/239, 6-speed car, drven pretty hard. 90 miles a day, combination city/hwy... I got 26 all hwy cruising at 95 mph, and i have also gotten like 15, not hitting the highway at all... Just depends on wahy you are doing.

I'd suggest some of his losses might be from letting the car warm up at each start. I just let my car warm up the first 5-10 minutes driving down the road before I go WOT.

Yeah, I'm sure 5-10 minutes of idle is doing SOMETHING to his gas mileage.
I think I'm going ms4, and I was just hoping that if I went easy(you know, if I'm low on cash at the time) I could get close to 24ish hwy.

I would get a lot better mileage at 80mph ~2300rpm in 6th than I would at 55mph at 1700rpm.
The 224 cam "came in" at about 2100rpm..... below that it was a dog.
