Default Does burning oil hurt your engine?

How does burning oil affect your engine? I was told its really not that bad depending how much your burning.

There is nothing good about it, it carbons up everything, it causes detonation which hammers all parts, it coats valves which builds up and blocks flow of ports past the valves, it makes hot spots in cylinder which causes pre-ignition, it causes rings to stick in their grooves increasing wear and causing excess blow by,it affects o2 sensors which can change pcm tuning and power, its bad for catalytic converters, i think thats everything, but that should be enough! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />
