Will this cause a miss
The cam I have in my car was made to go with headers. I also have ported and polished heads with bigger valves. I am running this through the stock exhaust manifolds. My car misses on a few cylinders at idle. I installed a off road ypipe and the misses went down on the auto tap. Could the restriction from my stock exhaust manifolds be causing a misfire?
I just got done installing a Lunati 226/226 .554 cam.
After the install, I started the car. I immediately set an SES light for misfires. If your misfire problem arose immediately after your cam installation, I would say that the cam is what is causing the code.
If your car runs good, but just seems to be setting misfires at idle then don't stress it, tuning I'm sure will be your solution.
If your car runs like crap through the span and you are setting codes at idle, I would start to look into your plugs, injectors, and valves.
I am pretty sure that it is your cam though.
Installing headers on your car, will help the car breath better, espcially with a cam. The better breathing of the car will improve your idle conditions no matter what is causing the misfire.
