Re: Long Block Long block is a generic term for a fully assembled block and heads combo. Short block would be minus heads.
If you mean big block vs small block, then it would be considered a small block even though it is possible to get 450+ cubic inches of displacement out of it. The terms big and small block refer to the relative exterior dimensions of the engine itself.
