Lets talk about heads... What are the actual physical and performance differences between 5.3, 5.7, 6.0, and LS6 heads? With a quality stage II job to each, what would be the performance difference and why....?? Just want to hear everybody's thoughts and expertise...

I am on the fence as to buying another complete set of heads [if] my old 5.7 LS1 heads will perform about the same as a similarly ported set of 6.0 truck heads, etc. I am looking for about 10.5:1 compression ratio, so I dont need a set of heads that will yield extremly high or low CR from stock. Just looking for flow numbers.....

Re: Lets talk about heads... LS6/6.0L heads seem to work better on larger motors, 5.3/5.7L heads seem to work best on the stock bottom end.
I run the 5.3L heads right now (11.3:1 CR). I'll probably try them first on my new motor, then upgrade to the LS6/6.0L heads if I'm not happy with the results.
