Started ordering motor parts...details within After alot of deciding which road I wanted to take with the car...I've decided high revvin' stock cubes. I've started the parts acquisition process...hope to be done by end of summer <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />
Though not 100% certain on the exact details of some parts, this is what I've came to so far:
1) JE pistons with valve reliefs on a .005 overbore
2) Lunati ProMod rods (6.125")...The wait for these will suck, but the pricing for them makes it worth it IMO
3) SLP double roller timing chain
4) Comp 875 lifters
5) Someones ported oil pump (may just stick with MTI here)
6) balanced bottom end (duh)
7) Line honed block (have heard that they can be off and offset bearings are used from the factory <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
8) Dynatech Stepped headers w/ 3" duals and X-pipe
Should I go with Federal Mogul bearings? If so where should I buy them? Also what rings would be suggested for a 7000+ RPM shortblock?
I'm trying to keep the car optimized for the 4.71 gear <img border="0" alt="[pimp]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_pimp.gif" />

I can't use the gaskets because I got the 6.0L heads and the GM gaskets only come in a kit now.
