Default Oil pan question...

On a 2000 TA with LS1, is it possible to remove the oil pan with out lifting the engine off the mounts? I need to check my bottom end for a not so nice noise. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Will I have enough clearance by just lifting the engine off the mounts?

Not really... Lifting it 2 inches I think will still not be enuff, and more than that and you might crush the oil pressure sensor behind the intake and stuff.
