Default Attention "KILLER"

what's up.I wanted to know what kind of setup you were running if you dont mind me asking.I have a 382 stroker, stage 2 ls1 heads, and a mild cam.My car is totaled and the only thing left is my motor. While im looking 4 a replacement i wanted to know if it is worth the money to change the heads out for stage 3or4 ls6heads,bigger cam and a ls6 intake.I want to make 500rwhp and just want to know if this figure is possible.i never got to dyno my car so i dont even know what i was pushing shoot i didnt even get a chance to dyno it thanks.

I highly doubt that 500rw is possible from a stroker. I have a custom built 382 LS1 and I'm currently getting 435. I have about every mod except ASP underdrive and am getting dyno tuned shortly. I'm expecting about 450 to 460 after these mods.
If anyone is close to 500 (all engine with a 382 stroker) I'd like to know how they did it.

The SAM 375ci solid-roller setup pulled 500 rwhp. He ran mid 10s with that motor.

500 rwhp with a 382ci is possible, but I think you would need a solid roller setup to guarantee it. I see 475-480 rwhp with some well-ported LS6 heads and a fat hydraulic cam.

I know of one guy locally that pulled 460 rwhp with his all-bore MTI 382ci, and that is with an automatic tranny. LS6 heads on that one, 232/237 R1 cam.

Without a huge and unstreetable cam I can't see 500 either. MTIs 422 is pushing 500RWHP with stage 3 LS6 heads, isn't it?

There isn't a "standard" MTI 422ci setup. They are custom built to what the buyer wants. They range from B1-cammed low compression LS1 heads, to LS6 head, high compression, solid-roller setups.

HP varies between 470 rwhp to 550 rwhp, depending on setup. Last week I saw a Corvette with a 422ci and 232 cam pull 470 rwhp thru the stock catalytics and catback. Torque was also 470 ft-lbs. Sounded almost stock <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

All the info about my 382allbore is on the link wicked 98z gave and its in my sig too.
Its a pretty streetable setup I drove the car from Houston to Phoenix raced the car on Firebird Raceway for a Baer ontrack day and then drove it back here with no problemos.
If you need anymore info email me directly.

I wonder if 440-450rwhp through all stock exhaust is possible on a C5. I wonder if porting the exhaust manifolds would help too....I love my sleeper car right now.
