What type of CAM for my set up??? Hey cam guys: my mods can be seen below, but I am soon to add FLP or SLP long tubes and port my stock heads...I am looking for a cam that is streetable (no idle trouble, no stalling) but lopes and sounds mean. I am still deciding if I want more top end or low end power. Also, the cam must pass Illinois emmisions. Any suggestions?

Re: What type of CAM for my set up??? I'm running the Comp XE-R 224/224, .581"/.581", 112 LSA in my A4 with no problems. My idle is set at 800 RPM, and it works great. It makes GREAT power (361 RWHP unlocked/379.9 RWHP locked with stock heads), has a nice thump at idle, and doesn't cause a lot of drivability problems. I'd also look at the TR224 if you're wanting something a little easier on springs. It has almost the same aggressive ramps as the XE-R, but it has less lift. The 112 LSA will provide more mid-range power for you, but the 114 LSA will help out a little on any drivability issues. Either one will work great if you have custom tuning.
