Default Rod bearing question

If I have a bad rod bearing say on #1 can that be replaced without removing the engine assuming there is no additional damage to any related parts?

Thanks

John

I think I have a bad rod bearing too. I'm thinking that maybe I will have enough clearance by just lifting the engine off the mounts. I have already ordered a new oil pan to speed up the installation. I'm planning on installing some plumbing to the new pan to accomidate a prelube system and an oil cooler. Maybe my rod bearings will survive alot longer this time. I have mounted the prelube pump. Gonna mount the filter tommarrow. Then I can messure for the lines.

The pump ran around $250. I bought it back when supershops was still open.
