did a compression test last night, and cylinder #7 was about 60-80, and with the wet test it was 120. Figured the rings are bad on #7 but im going to do a few more tests...deciding about taking it to a shop to have them rebuild it, or just do it myself?

would just like some imput from anyone whoever went through the process of replacing piston rings

Just rebuild the whole block with forged parts while your in there.

 

try using a Cyl Leak Down tester.. and that way you can detect what is bad.. Rings, Valve Seal, Valve.. etc..
