After I have everything put together on my 01 SS is it safe to drive it or do I need to tow it to the dyno shop so they can chassis tune it? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

With the H/C setups most people do, you can get by with the stock tuning indefinitely. A buddy of mine has the TR224 cam in his '02 now for about 4 months with the stock tuning. Really the main reason to do the tuning is to raise the rev limiter. You can also get a few more horsepower by tuining the A/F ratio.

It's safe to drive it but you will probably need to raise the idle some depending on what cam you have and the shift points will be low, you won't be getting the most out of the cam. If you don't change rev limiter settings you'll probably hit the limiter when you go WOT. If you did both h/c you need to get it tuned to realize the engines new maximum potential. Just MHO,
