Two Different Crane LS1 Lifters - Differences?
The Crane catalog shows two different LS1 lifters:
10530-16 a For 97-99 engines
144530-16 b For 00-up engines
I understand that they are basically the same, but the 10530-16 is a little stronger. Is this so? Are they interchangeable? Which is more desireable? Differences?
I see the 144530-16 is about $208, and the 10530-16 is $170.

Re: Two Different Crane LS1 Lifters - Differences?
I received the following input from Crane tech support:
Crane claims that the block changed in '00 and that the 10530-16 will experience excessive oil loss at the skirt when used in the newer block. Thus reducing oil pressure overall. A very reputable tuner confidently states this is not the case.
I opted to replace the lifters anyway. Even though seemingly no one had any, MTI was able to set me up.
