Default looking for a mild mannered, valvetrain friendly street cam...

OK, I am just playing around again with the idea of swapping bumpsticks.
If I do, I am looking for a cam that will meet the following criteria:

1) Is easy on the drivetrain, don't want to have to replace my springs every 25,000 miles nor really at all after the initial spring change from when the new cam goes in. (assuming I would need to replace my stock springs)
2) Looking to make power everywhere, not just on the top end. I am not a drag racer so I don't need nor want a very peaky cam. I want something that maximizes the "area under the curve" and also gives a decent increase of TQ as well as HP throughout the powerband.

Patrick G recommended a 228/232 .588/.592 on a 110LSA +1 for me awhile ago but that was before I realized that I didn't want something that was hard on my drivetrain and needed to have the springs changed regularily.

I have a friend that has a "Hammer" cam (assuming it's close to this: 222/222 .563/.563 114LSA) and he loves it. It seems VERY well mannered and he made decent power with it in his '02 Firehawk (380rwhp).

What cam would you gurus recommend? I have LT's and ORY, I have stock heads and LS1 intake....as it's a '00 Firehawk.

thanks!!

If you want something a bit milder the tried and true 224/224 cam might just do great for you.
