Default this may help some...

so i just did a motor swap in my 96 TA to an LS1...

the car was running pretty strong for the past 2 weeks, well 2 days ago i noticed that every time i'd go WOT, the car would sputter, backfire, and would not move out of its own way, but once the converter locked the car ran fine (no misses, sputtering, backfiring). i noticed that my passenger side rockers/lifters were a bit noisy (i was thinking it may have something to do with it) so i adjusted them and while i was under the hood i decided to reach around the back of the intake on the drivers side (cause my oil pressure sending unit has been flipping out now for the past 2 days, didnt really think about the 2 being the same issue) while is was reaching around my hand came across the grounds on the back of the head and the bolt backed out some what and the grounds were really loose, so i tightend that up and that cured my issue with everything...

hope this helps some one...

Been there done that. I run a ground strap from the back of the head to the firewall. The wires you are pointing out are for the O2 sensors. They tend to flip out if not grounded.
