Is anyone running this cam, or one very similar? If so what kind hp/tq have you put down? and more importantly what times have you run at the drag strip with this cam?

I've searched and come up with very little results, so any info. would be most helpful.

Thanks guys

I would also like to know if a 3200-3400 stall would work well this cam?

That's one step bigger than what I've got.

But, looking at my TQ curve, I'd say that stall is bigger than you need for that cam.

At 2500 rpm, my tq is only 40 less than peak. By 3k, it's only 20 less than peak. You can still make decent power under 3k rpms.

As far as 1/4 mile times and dynos, I'll be honest, but I DON'T think they're accurate or representative of "reality." You'll understand why when I post them.

Stock: Dyno??, 1/4 mile 13.8 at 103mph (hot and humid at sea level)

Lid, Longtubes, exhaust: 1/4 mile 13.4 at 105mph (hot and humid at sea level)

Dyno: 359rwhp at 5500rpm, 380 rwtq at 4700 rpm. Dynomax 2000 "Pro" (I don't believe either of those numbers. Way too high for my 1/4 mile times. One reason I don't trust dynos.

Heads/cam/headers (mods in sig minus ported TB). 1/4 mile: Run 1, Bogging big time: 2.2 60' 12.8 at 112mph. Run 2: Launching at 3400 rpm, tires stick, clutch slips immediately to 5000 rpm, 2.0 60', Clutch sticks to the floor on 2-3 shift. Pump clutch twice, go into 3rd (no acceleration for a full second according to the log), run 12.8 at 111mph.

So, I don't have a "real" time.

Dyno: 356rwhp, 352 rwtq. On a Dynojet. 88 degrees outside, high humidity. A/F at 13.0:1. Timing dead on.

Again, I don't believe this dyno. I seriously doubt I gained at least 7mph in the 1/4 and lost hp. Plus, it seems waaay low for my mods.

Sooooo..... If you've learned anything...... dyno times and 1/4 mile times of OTHER people don't mean didly SQUAT!!!!

With that cam, and proper tuning, you'll gain around 35 hp (give or take a few) and you drop your 1/4 mile by up to half a second (both with proper tuning). That's all you should need to know.

There are bolt on cars running high 11's and dynoing more than my car.

There are heads cam cars with low dynos and crappy 1/4 mile times (like mine).

In reality, my car (with a good clutch) would be good for low 12's at around 115mph in good conditions. Dyno "should" be around 390rwhp or so. But, I don't have the paper to prove either.

Would this cam work well with Nitrous too?
