Default Pushrod length

I'm going to order the LS6 heads and cam pkg from TSP w/ the 233/239 cam. i know that they recommend running a 7.350 on the ms4's to give it a little more needed clearance. i'm wondering if it would be wise, with my cam choice being somewhat smaller than the ms4, to run 7.375 to give my valvetrain a little more clearance or make it snug w/ the standard 7.400? any input is appreciated. thanks

james

You need a longer pushrod with a cam setup not a shorter one. The base circle of the aftermarket cam is smaller, thus requiring the longer rod to maintain proper preload.

ok, maybe i misinterpreted the info on the pushrods. so it's probably wiser to stick with the 7.400's then. thanks for the info brad8266.
