I just pulled my motor out and im replacing the crank and bearings and all that. I already have a cam, and im thinking while i have the chance, i should upgrade the heads as well. I already ordered all the bolts and gaskets needed to put the engine back together. however, im thinking about getting a set of 243 heads, willl these heads just bolt right onto our motors? or do i have to get different head bolts or different gaskets or what? let me know!! thanks guys

arnt the valve covers differant?

 

im not sure but i think ive read that to use these heads on an LS1, you would also need an LS6 intake (to match the intake ports) and throttle body. if you have a ’97 or a ’98, you need to change their valve covers becuase they use perimeter bolts instead of center bolts, and the coil mounts are different... is this true????? for my 98 ls1 camaro application???

Only thing that needs to change with thoes heads are the valve covers. Basicly, look under the hood in the formula thats in your sig.
