Is anybody running the Thunder 224/224 561/561 114 in an A4? How do you like the performance? How is the idle and at what RPM does your car idle?

I'll post just to give you a little insight. I know of a few A4's running the TR224 on a 112 LSA with no problems. They all had their idle set at 900 RPM. I'm running the Comp XE-R 224 on a 112 LSA, and I have my idle right at 825. It's just fine and doesn't give me any problems with surging, etc. (so long as the a/c is off). A 900 idle works great if I'm going to run the a/c. The 114 LSA won't have quite as much mid-range power compared to the 112 LSA, but it will have a slightly better idle. A 900 idle would definitely be safe, but I like to hear as much of the cam as I can. A solid gain of 30-35 RWHP could be achieved with all of the bolt-ons.

I have the TR-224 cam. love the cam. with stock idle (stock tuning) like i have right now, its tuff to get the cam to idle at 650 rpms You wanna talk about how nice my lope is right now Get your idle between 800-900 for this cam. The sucker pulls like a ***** all the way up to 6600 rpms!
It gives nice E.T's too. Check the sig, not bad for stock heads/stock gears too.
