Whats the Average cost For a engine rebuild? I'm sure I would put some aftermarket parts in it for performance. I already have a B1 cam. My car is skipping at light load and burned 3 quarts of oil in 2 1/2 months so something is really wrong but the GM techs can't figure it out. Anyone have any ideas oh and how much roughly for the rebuild, Thanks,

Re: Whats the Average cost For a engine rebuild? Rebuilt with stock parts or Rebuilt with upgraded aftermarket parts? Also, based on your description, there are A LOT of variables depending on what is actually wrong and what needs replacing.
However if it does require a rebuild, I would DEFINITELY bite the bullet and upgrade the internals while you're in there.
