Default B1 cam installed, idle problems?

When in park my idle is at 825 when in gear it drops to about 700. My problem is when im at line at the racetrack as i give it gas to go forward it goes to 2000 because of my 3500 st then it drops to 400 and turns off. Sometimes it will go to 400 then back to 1500 then down and up until it turns off. Can anyone help? Thanks

You need tuning bad. Im not an expert on the subject of tuning, but that's what your problem is.

drill your throttle body blade with a 1/8 inch hole and then set your idle set screw til it quits surging, the screw only needs very small adjustments so be patient. i had the b1 cam and i know you can do it without tuning

If any help, I did get it tuned at MTI. It seems like the computer is surging. Especially when i reverse or when i break that rpms drop drastically is when it dies.

Have them check the tuning. When I put my B1 in, they did the original tuning. Idle was up both in park and drive. They should also have bumped up the timing at low RPMS also.
