cam swap done, now oil press. problem Just finished putting in a C1 cam and now my oil pressure is 20-40 psi, 15-20psi lower than before the swap (it was normal range before). The only thing that was changed from before was cam, pushrods, Cloyes timing set, and went to dino oil for break in period. Has anyone had this problem? The car is a 98' with 95k <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> miles.
Re: cam swap done, now oil press. problem When you pulled the oil pump to put in the timing chain you sure you got that pesky little O-ring back in where the pickup tube feeds to the pump?

Re: cam swap done, now oil press. problem That is a good question Smoke, I'm not sure, was thinking about that today. My friend pulled the pump while I was doing some other work to the car. I guess I should ask him, but if I need to pull the pump again, I will be putting a new one in.

Re: cam swap done, now oil press. problem My Dr.Pepper says that the o-ring is missing. You might want to just buy another one in case you can't find the original. It will be a PITA but you gota check it!

We were going to replace it this weekend, but tat was in a motorcycle wreck and will be in the hospital for a while. Im a ford guy ( sorry for the bad laungage ) and i would like to fix it so that when he is able to drive his car it will be done. ive posted earlier the same ? , but maybe you guys can help. What pump should i get, tat said to get one from a 01-02 Z. But who sells them and which one should i look at getting. Thanks for your help.
Re: cam swap done, now oil press. problem just do to dealer and get one. now all of the oil pumps are LS6. i wouldnt get the ported one. just get a new one from the dealer new o ring, and i would put just a little bit silcon on the block and the pump around the oil passage way.
