Default TR 224 without tuning

I have Mac headers,TR 224 cam,MAF. translator and o2 sims for my car and was wondering how its going to run without the ls1 edit tuning.I want to install these parts but i want to make sure its going to run ok without the tuning. Eventually i will have Joe Prince tune it on the Dyno.

Thanks John

I wonder what the tuning actually is. Raising the Idle and adjusting the A/F ratio and rasing the Rev limiter I would assume, maybe play with the timing.

Tuning seems to be such a "Taboo" thing in the LS1 world for some reason.

I think if you could find a way to raise the Rev limiter, drill the TB for the idle then you can use the Maf-T to get things pretty close to LS1 edit tuning save adjusting the timing.

All this is theory, I havent tried it but I think Im going to before getting LS1 Edit. Which is REALLY cool if you know what your looking at. You can really tweak the car good.

One of my buddies has been riding around in his '02 M6 Z28 since January without any tuning whatsoever. Even with the stock rev limiter, rear end (3.42's) and Eagle GSC's he has run a 12.18 @ 116.5. This is with FLP LT's, lid, ported TB and ORP but through the SLP D/D. The car idles fine and he commented to me that he had his best mileage to date (avg 18 mpg) in town...

Hope this helps.

We're running a TR224 cam in our car with no tuning. It's running fine, but we're still going to tune it later on.
