Going to the .581 lift you may want to consider a set of new valve springs, as the stock springs may run into coil bind. I would see what Comp Cams recommends, and if they say to change the springs, go with their 918's as I have heard good things about them. Make sure you shim the springs to the recommended height.
Does anyone know with stock pistons and stock heads what the max lift is before you have to deal with piston to valve clearance?

You shouldn't have a piston-to-valve clearance problem, but that cam'll need springs w/ that kinda range, and different length pushrods, too (longer).
It'll also get stuffed up w/out those heads and headers...

Ditto on the springs... Comp918's would work nicely, and you can reuse the stock retainers unless you're looking to turn some fairly high revs...
Obviously you'd have better results with ported heads, but that cam should work pretty well with stock heads...
