Default Would a reverse split pattern cam be bad w/N20??

I am running a TNT wet kit, and by fall I will probably be throwing a set of stage 2 heads on the car and a BIG cam...

I want to shift at around 6600 on spray...

I like the #'s these reverse cams are putting out...

From what I know everyone says its always better to go with a regular split pattern cam to go w/spray...the most I will ever spray will be 150..

For N20 cam I am going to go with a custom Comp ground cam: 226/232 .565/.585 112lsa
For N/A cam I am going to go with a custom Comp ground cam: 230/230 .585/.585 112lsa

For N/A and N20 cam: 232/228 .585/.565 112lsa
(would this work out good at all)

I'm starting to get so damn confused on what cam to go with for the future...HELP!

To have a truly effective motor on nitrous, it usually runs like crap n/a. It's hard to get a cam that's good for both. A reverse split pattern cam is definitely not good for nitrous. If you're definitely going to run nitrous, don't bother with this cam unless you want to replace it down the road. Go with the single pattern or other split pattern cam, preferrably the split pattern.

honestly BOS unless you plan to spray an OBSCENE amount of n20 (over 250) i wouldn't worry about a "nitrous" camshaft.

just get a good motor cam that is proven to work well and just have it have a tad more exhaust duration/lift and for really good torqe on a 111LSA or 112LSA and you'll be happy

I say go for a good N/A cam. Yes there might be cams that are tailored for nitrous use, but in my opinion nitrous will make power on any motor. So if you make 5 less rwhp on the bottle due to the cam you chose just jet it up a bit more <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Yea, I think I am just going to go with a monster N/A cam...

I look at it this way:

1) people are getting good numbers with a split pattern cam on the intake side for NA only.

2) most "nitrous" cams are split pattern on the exhaust side.

If the LS1's are flowing so well on the exhaust side, why not just go with a single pattern cam?

On my LT1, I ran a pretty big shot of nitrous (175-200) with a split pattern cam. It made monster power n/a, and insane power on the juice.
