Default I need a cam!

I have a 00 M6 WS6 bone stock and I want to do a cam and a LS6 intake. What cam would yal recommend for a daily driver? I also plan on doing 4.10 gears. What parts would I all need? I've very new with the LS1 stuff so I just need some info. I'm looking a 400rwhp. Let me know something.

Thanks,
u r prey ta

Do headers first. With the 4.10 gears and an M6 you can get away with a bigger cam. Maybe the TRak from thunder racing.

You dont want that cam if the car is a DD, although ive seen people do it, but i still think they are crazy.

As for a DD cam to hit 400whp with, id check into something like my TR230/224. i made 386whp with a stock ls1 intake, so with an Ls6 i should be close if not over 400whp. As for as what your going need to:

*=optional
1. Cam of choice
2. Valvesprings
3. hardened pushrods
4. New retainers and locks*
5. valve spring compressor
6. new lifters, optional but good to do for a high milage car, this will require pulling the heads
7. Front cover gasket, water pump gaskets, front seal, new crank bolt
8. Timing chain*
9. Oil pump*
10. Tool of choice to hold up the lifters
11. Various tools, and fluids(oil, coolant)

alot of people choose to replace the oil pump and timing chain while they are in there. Good luck!

i daily drove my m6 with the trex last summer but i'm not lying when i say it sucks in traffic. but i'm seeing over 400 at the wheels so it's well worth it when there's not a lot of traffic.

I have the "TRAK" cam from ThunderRacing and I must say sounds pretty good, it is also my DD for now..
