G5X4...good for a 402?
G5X4...good for a 402? Hey guys, I'm planing on running a G5X4 which I already have in my 402 that's being built....Will this cam complement my ETP 215's, ported Fast, and various bolt-ons in a 402?
Should I consider going bigger? I just wanted a nasty sounding cam that made good power through the range.

hey, aren't you over on southfloridaracing also? Anyways, the cam will obviously still work in the 402 but will be more docile than if it were in the stock 346. Right now, since I am gonna end up putting the car in hiberation, I'm also saving to get a motor done, but am somewhat indecisive and unsure as to which route i want to take (383 ls6 aluminum block all forged or iron 402). And yes, you will definately make really nice numbers with that setup. Definately over 500 whp. Good luck with the setup. If you dont mind me asking, who is building your motor?

I think the G5X4 will be a good "middle of the road" cam and should mate up nicely with the flow of my ETP 215's...
TSP is building my 402...aluminum block as I do not want any extra weight what-so-ever...
